Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 16, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply when you use this website or hire Earvin Laureano ("I", "me", "my") for any service. By using the site, requesting a quote, paying a booking payment or invoice, or starting a project, you ("you", "the client") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or engage my services.

1.Who I am

I am Earvin Laureano, an independent freelance digital-systems builder based in the Philippines, working with clients worldwide. My services include website design and build, funnel build, website and funnel audits, website maintenance plans, and ongoing operations or "partnership" retainers. You can reach me at inquire@earvinlaureano.com.

2.Quotes, scope, and proposals

Project pricing and scope are agreed before work begins, usually on a scoping call and confirmed in writing (by email or a written proposal). The agreed scope defines what is included. Anything outside that scope is a new request and may change the price and timeline. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3.Fees and payment

  • Booking payment. For project work (websites and funnels), a 50% booking payment is required to reserve your build slot and begin work. The remaining 50% is due on completion, before the final files are launched or handed over. Both the booking payment and the balance are non-refundable (see Section 8).
  • Audits. Paid audits are charged in full at the time of order and are non-refundable. If you start a related build within 30 days, the audit fee credits toward that build only, never returned as cash.
  • Maintenance and retainers. Maintenance plans and partnership retainers are billed monthly in advance. They continue until cancelled (see Section 9).
  • How you pay. Payments are made through PayPal unless we agree otherwise. Prices are in US dollars (USD) unless stated. You are responsible for any taxes that apply in your own country.
  • Late or missed payment. If the balance due is not paid, I may pause work, withhold delivery or launch, and keep ownership of the work until payment is received.

4.Your responsibilities

To deliver on time, I need your input. You agree to provide the content, images, logins, and feedback I reasonably ask for, and to respond within a reasonable time. You confirm that any material you give me (text, images, logos, data) is yours to use or properly licensed, and does not break any law or anyone else's rights. Delays in providing what I need will move the timeline by the same amount.

5.Timelines

I share an estimated timeline for each project once the scope is set (most websites launch in about two to four weeks). Timelines are estimates made in good faith, not guarantees, and depend on how quickly content, approvals, and payments come through from your side.

6.Revisions

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds (typically two rounds per stage, confirmed in your scope). Revisions cover refinements to the agreed work. These included rounds are how the Sign-Off Guarantee is delivered (see Section 8): I refine the agreed work within them until it meets the scope you approved. New pages, new features, or a change of direction are outside the included revisions and are quoted separately.

7.Ownership and intellectual property

  • Your finished work is yours. Once a project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables I create for you, on your own domain and hosting. There is no lock-in.
  • Before full payment, all work I produce remains my property.
  • Third-party assets. Some builds use third-party items (fonts, stock images, plugins, libraries, hosting, or other tools) that stay under their own licenses. You are responsible for keeping any required subscriptions or licenses active after handover.
  • Portfolio. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, I may show the work I did for you in my portfolio and marketing. I will never share confidential information or anything you ask me to keep private.

8.Refunds, the Sign-Off Guarantee, and cancellation

All sales are final. Because I reserve a build slot for you and start custom work right away, all fees are non-refundable. This covers the 50% booking payment, the 50% balance, paid audits, and monthly maintenance or retainer fees. No part of any payment is returned as cash, even after work has started. Where the law in your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.

The Sign-Off Guarantee. In place of a money-back promise, your protection is the work itself. I agree your scope in writing before I start (see Section 2). I then build it, walk you through it, and refine it using the revision rounds defined in your scope (see Section 6) until it meets that agreed scope and you approve it. The remaining 50% balance is due only after you have reviewed the work, and the build is not launched or handed over until you sign off. The project is complete when the agreed scope is met and you sign off, or when your included revision rounds are used and the work meets that scope. This is a quality-and-scope guarantee, not a money-back guarantee and not a guarantee of specific business results (see Section 11). It covers refining the agreed work within your included revision rounds. New pages, new features, or a change of direction are a new request and are quoted separately.

The audit credit. Paid audits are non-refundable. If you start a related build within 30 days, the audit fee is credited toward that build. The credit applies only against a build and is never returned as cash if you do not proceed.

Cancellation. If you cancel a project after work has started, the fees already paid are not returned, and any unpaid work already completed is still due. Maintenance plans and retainers can be cancelled at any time and simply stop at the end of the current paid month. Cancelling stops future billing. It does not refund the current month, and partial months are not refunded.

9.Maintenance plans and retainers

Maintenance plans and partnership retainers are ongoing monthly services scoped to you. Either of us may cancel with reasonable notice before the next billing date. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not refund the current month. Unused time, edits, or hours within a month do not roll over unless stated in your plan.

10.Third-party services

Your project may rely on services I do not control, such as hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, email providers, analytics, and AI or search platforms. I set these up carefully, but I am not responsible for their outages, pricing changes, policy changes, or actions. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.

11.No guarantee of specific results

I build fast, clean, well-optimized work and apply current best practices for search and conversion. However, I cannot and do not guarantee specific outcomes such as exact search rankings, traffic numbers, leads, sales, or revenue. Those depend on many factors outside my control, including your market, offer, pricing, and follow-up.

12.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, my total liability for any claim relating to a project or service is limited to the amount you paid me for that specific project or service. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. The work is provided "as is" except for what is expressly stated in these Terms.

13.Confidentiality

I treat the non-public information you share with me as confidential and use it only to do the work you hired me for. I expect the same from you regarding any non-public information I share with you.

14.Independent contractor

I work as an independent contractor, not as your employee, partner, or agent. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship or a legal partnership between us.

15.Privacy

How I handle personal information is explained in my Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Because services are provided remotely to clients worldwide, we both agree to first try to resolve any disagreement informally by contacting inquire@earvinlaureano.com in good faith before taking any other step.

17.Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date above, is the one that applies. Changes do not affect the agreed terms of a project already underway.
